Matrikx PB1 extruded activated carbon filters remove lead by using and ion change filter medium with specificity for soluble lead. These filters have a 6,000 capacity for Chlorine removal. The Pb1 also offers Turbidity and Cyst reduction & high levels of chemical reduction.

The Pb1 cartridge is an excellent low cost choice for a chlorine and lead reduction filter cartridge and would also work great for the second stage in a reverse osmosis system as a prefilter for added protection.
